My Idol

First time I saw her is on tiktok. In the video, she tells that at first she didn’t know that she is a princess in Solo and grand-grandchild of National Heroine, because her parents wanted her to find out by herself. Her family always tells her stories, whether it’s fiction or world history, until she became interested and started reading books at the age of 5. When she was 6 years old, she’s already read the book Tetralogi by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. When she was in grade 3 of elementary school, she started studying PKN and that's where she got to know about Muhammad Yamin. From there, she’s started to study about wawasan nusantara, sumpah pemuda. When she was in grade 4 of elementary school, she already know that she is grand-grandchild of Muhammad Yamin. So yes, she know all of that from the books she read. 

She is Rania Maheswari Yasmin or known as Rania Yasmin, she is Mangkunegaran descendants and grand-grandchild of National Heroine Muhammad Yamin. She was born on July 5th 2002. She’s a Sastra Indonesia student in Universitas Indonesia and now she’s on her 7 semester. 

She has 2 businesses in the fashion sector. The businesses she runs with her mother named Bergaya Ceria dan Kain Gembira. It sells traditional clothes such as Kebaya and Batik. In her cloth business, she has also collaborated several times, such as with famous Indonesian actresses like Tara Basro and Eva Celia. 

And what I like about her is that she often uses outfits by combining kebaya and batik for everyday life that always look fashionable. It makes people around her including me, become more loves with traditional clothing and wants to uses outfits by combining our casual outfits with kebaya and batik. 

She really shows that in this modern era, traditional clothes still suitable for daily wear and not give the impression of being out of date. 

She is also wants to prove that she’s not just a “ Rania Yasmin “. She wants to be known as one of the pioneers of the Indonesian fashion world who has creative ideas and preserves culture to Indonesian women.

Social media is a platform to interact via gadgets. People who life in this era can be said to depend on social media. We can relate to people regardless of distance with social media. Everyone must use social media, especially teenagers. Social media that is often used is Instagram, WhatsApp, Line, Twitter, and many more. 

There is a reason why people now often use social media, because it has many advantages. With social media, we can easily get the latest information, even from abroad. We can also easily make new friends and increase knowledge through social media. Because with social media, we can easily access everything.

However, social media can also have a negative impact on its users. We know that with social media, we can access everything easily, this can cause incoming information not to be filtered and cause hoaxes. Social media is addictive, it can make its users addicted. People who use social media can turn into someone who is individualistic, because they feel cell phones are more useful than human assistance.

In conclusion, social media is important for human life. But everything definitely has advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, we must be wise in using it so as not to be adversely affected.

Cyberbullying

Bullying has been an arising issue for many years, but the idea of cyberbullying is a more recent issue that has appeared to  many teachers and schools. It's no secret that many students are on some platform of social media, whether it's Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. 

Cyberbullying happens when students bully each other through the use of technology. Cyberbullying has the exact same effect of hurting the bully, as traditional bullying. The only catch with cyberbullying is that it can be anonymous, and the bully can at times escape consequences. 

Cyberbullying can be used as a continuous form of bullying outside of the school grounds. One moment the cyberbully, the next they can turn into the victim, technology and social media can be a dangerous place to hide. 

According to stop bullying, students who are cyber bullied are more likely use alcohol and drugs, skip school, experience in-school bullying, be unwilling to attend school, receive poor grades, have lower self esteem and have more health problems.

    

We have to be aware of what is happening on social media, we need to be able to fight the bullying what is occurring and make students feel safe. There are many stories dealing with whether or not schools can be involved with what is going on in social media, but at the end of the day cyberbullying is in fact bullying. Unfortunately many cases of cyberbullying that have been documented, the victim of the bullying has committed suicide. Cyberbullying is a huge concern and it needs to be addressed. There are many ways of doing so, and the first step is standing up or others and spreading the tragedies of cyberbullying.

Conversation I Had Yesterday

Yesterday, I had a conversation with my mom. We talked about documentary series that just came out on netflix. It’s called, “ In the name of god: a Holy Betrayal “. It’s korean documentary series based on true story. About heretical sects in Korea, which is still exist until today. We both shocked after we saw the trailer. Because people nowdays are soo crazyy. Like how can a human claim to be a god? 😣 And there’s a lot of people that join the cults T__T. 

My mom said to me to be careful in choosing a circle of friends and always stick to the stand. Because we don’t know the true nature of someone that we met. 

Also, my mom and I talked about what major that I’ll take in college. Because I kinda still confuse. I like speaking and wanna be a diplomat, but my skills is in the calculating. I like calculating, but not for my future job. And my mom said to choose something that I like and I can do. So, the advice from my mom can help me to consider the options. 

Maybe that’s all about conversation that I had yesterday. Just a little and short conversation, because i was busy memorizing history lessons 😁😁

My Holiday Activities

In my holiday activities, mostly I stayed at home. But sometimes, I hangout with my friends too. 

On Tuesday 20 December, at 08.00 I went to Tahura with my elementary school friends. We went to Goa Jepang and Belanda. When we were at Goa Jepang, the guide tells us about history of Goa Jepang. Next, we went to Goa Belanda, we came alone and we were kinda scared, because Goa Belanda is more terrifying than Goa Jepang. But it was such an amazing experience because it was my first time! 😆

Around 13.30, on the same day, I went to gameboard at pasir kaliki with my elementary school friends, again hehe. We played many games in there! We played jenga, werewolf,  something like a detective game, and uno. It was sooo funn! Then, we went to food market and I ate satai 😁. 

We came back home around 19.00, but I went to my friend’s house first. We talked about many things. Start with school day, our friendships, and how we felt about our grades. Then, I came home at 21.30. 

On Monday 26 December, I went to ramens at setiabudhi with my cousin! We ordered ramens, dumpling, and karage. It tastes good and flavory, worth to try! 

On Saturday, 28 December, I went to my junior highschool friend’s house. We did a lot of things. We cooked, we played fireworks, and we watched horror movies!

When I didn’t go anywhere, I usually watched netflix movies. I watched peaky blinders because it’s a netflix series, it tells about a gang in Birmingham called The Peaky Blinders, which operated from 1880s until 1910s. I think it would be nice to spend my holiday time watched peaky blinders. 

So, that’s all about my holiday activities 😁
